Website Terms of Use

Version 1.1 · Effective 16 August 2026 · Review by 16 August 2027

These terms govern public use of civichelm.co.uk. They do not replace the terms of any formal client engagement.

1. About Civic Helm

This website is operated by Aubrey International under the trading name Civic Helm. Civic Helm provides consultancy and practical support across procurement, tenders, funding, governance, contract mobilisation, public-systems navigation, Second Chance support and Fair Chance Employer services.

2. General information only

Website content is introductory and general. It is not a substitute for a review of actual circumstances, documents, applicable law or specialist professional advice. Rules, procurement requirements, funding criteria, background-check regimes and other requirements may change or vary by jurisdiction.

3. No engagement through website use

Viewing the website, submitting an enquiry, sending information or receiving an initial response does not create an adviser-client relationship, reserve capacity or oblige Civic Helm to undertake work. Scope, fees, timing, responsibilities and any onboarding requirements must be agreed before substantive work begins.

4. Nature of services

Civic Helm is a consultancy and practical support service. It is not a law firm and does not provide reserved legal services. If regulated legal advice, formal representation, regulated financial advice or another specialist service is required, Civic Helm may recommend appropriate specialist assistance.

5. Second Chance

Second Chance provides practical navigation, preparation and organisational support. It does not guarantee employment, record changes, licences, benefits, housing, funding, business success or decisions by courts, agencies, employers or other third parties. Public website forms must not be used to submit conviction details or other highly sensitive information.

6. Fair Chance Employers

Fair-chance materials are not universal legal rules. Criminal-record, recruitment, privacy and employment requirements vary by jurisdiction, sector and role. Jurisdiction-specific legal review may be required before an employer adopts a process or policy.

7. No guarantee of outcome

Civic Helm does not guarantee procurement awards, tender scores, eligibility, funding decisions, employment outcomes, business results or any decision controlled by a third party.

8. Deadlines

Website content or an initial enquiry should not be treated as monitoring of a deadline. You remain responsible for deadlines until Civic Helm has expressly accepted responsibility for one within a formal engagement.

9. Information you provide

You must provide accurate information, have authority to share it and avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or highly sensitive material through ordinary website forms. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent authority, experience, accreditations, finances or other material facts.

10. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the Civic Helm name, logo, website design, text, graphics, service descriptions and original resources are owned by or licensed to Aubrey International and protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Client work product is governed by the relevant engagement documents.

11. External websites

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Civic Helm does not control their content, decisions, availability, security, accessibility or data handling.

12. Liability for public website use

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Civic Helm and Aubrey International are not responsible for loss arising solely from reliance on general website material without an appropriate review of the circumstances, third-party decisions, missed deadlines not accepted within an engagement, or external platform failures. Any liability terms for instructed work are governed by the applicable engagement documents.

13. Governing law

These public website terms and non-contractual disputes arising from public website use are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights that may apply in another jurisdiction.

14. Contact
