Accessibility Statement
Civic Helm wants its website, documents and communications to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible.
1. Target standard
The website is designed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as its target standard. This is an ongoing commitment rather than a claim that every page, document or third-party service is fully compliant at all times.
2. What the website is designed to support
- Keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators.
- Logical heading structure and meaningful link text.
- Responsive layouts across desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Text resizing and zoom without loss of core content.
- Labels and instructions for forms.
- Reduced-motion preferences.
- Colour contrast appropriate to the design target.
3. Documents and third parties
Some client-specific, procurement or third-party documents may originate in formats that are not fully accessible. External portals and services are outside Civic Helm's direct control. Where a barrier affects access to Civic Helm's own service, we will consider a reasonable alternative.
4. Request an adjustment
Email hello@civichelm.co.uk with the subject “Accessibility”, telephone +44 (0)203 758 8382, or write to the London correspondence address. Tell us what you are trying to access and the adjustment or format that would help.
5. Response targets
We aim to acknowledge an accessibility request within two working days and to provide a substantive response or reasonable interim arrangement within five working days. Complex conversions or third-party barriers may take longer.
6. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with how an accessibility request has been handled, you may use the Complaints and Service Standards Policy.
